kyaaa! Just saw The Chamber of Secrets trailer! OMG Harry's voice is so much deeper. Not unpleasant, but definitely not how a twelve yr old sounds, I think. Wonder if he'll grow faster than they can film the movies? Ron's just as funny, heehee...and after my D/G fic fling, I'll finally get to see how Ginny looks like.
If each book's supposed to get darker than the next, judging by the trailer, I think the movies have no problem accomplishing that...already looks more tense than the first movie...

The meandering road of a slightly introverted mind. Normally witty. At turns morbid and cheerful. A little weird. Have fun.

Oh, watched Sum of All Fears and I take back all the stuff I said about Ben Affleck not matching the other Jack Ryan movies. *dodges a few flames* ....ahem, firstly because I didn't know until recently that the movie's actually a prequel. Second, it has some romance and humour in it. More than say, Hunt for the Red October. Or the ones with Harrison Ford. I probably would have like watching them in the cinema, but without the romance and humour, I probably won't have enjoyed them as much as Sum.
So, I came home all floaty. Major sympton of Media Obsession - i.e. I'll rabidly hunt down, collect and re-watch the movies, look at pics, read the books...well, maybe not read the books....I'm still not thru' with Lord of the Rings yet, tho' I've skimmed much of Book 2. I like the Jack Ryan movies, they make you think and appreciate the politics. (But, like Ocean's 11, a little boring at times. And I had to concentrate my meagre supply of brain cells, heh) The America/Russia thing is a little old, but bear in mind this is a prequel.
Next target: MIB II - Talking dog! Talking dog! Talking dog singing that damn funny song! I gotta see that...
One of the little things on my holiday To-Do list is to take all the photos I have and stick them into a nice big photo album. I don't think I'll do that anymore. Cause while I was digging thru' my Junk O' the Past, I found some jotter-books where I *surprisingly* managed to fill four of with journal entries. I found drama summaries, movie ticket stubbs, and (I don't believe this) exam revision timetables. Reading them again made me feel that whoever wrote them can't be me, because she sounded like she had so much things to do - sport festivals, plays, speech competitions. She had opinions on her JC subjects, classmates, lecturers. She talked about going into communications in uni. Most of all, she talked about change in her life, and fearing it.
17-6-97 Tuesday 12.43 am *yawn*
*Smile* Another bit of the past. U know, with all this little momentos, u'd think I'm too past-oriented, afraid to grow up, afraid to change and afraid of what the future might hold... *Sigh!* I probably am. Thanks for listening. Bye.
Read: 29-6-02 Saturday 1.39 am *wide awake* Guess I did change after all. But it happened in little spurts of excitement, fear and ruthless planning, and I didn't notice it until five years later. Wasn't that scary after all, was it? *shrug* Dunno.
So, I've figured out why I don't ever manage to get those damned photos into the nice big photo album I have. It's because everytime I dig them out again, I'll look at my old junk (old JC tie, pack rat that I am...) and before I know it, two hours gone by. Then I'll feel that I don't want to spend the next three hours organising photos and stick labels below them about where I was and what I was doing when I took that Oh-My-Goodness!-My-Hair-Ever-Looked-Like-That?!-awful photo. It's great to feel and hold that paper crane I made in June six years ago...
...but by putting away the photos because I feel I've spent enough time with the past, does it mean that I'm not really so past-oriented? That it's inherent in me to move forward?
But then I am blogging now. I'm recording again. I'm trying to write this down so I'll remember it (Heck, I wanna make a whole new blog layout for it!). Hmmm...irony yes?
So it settled...I'm a past-oriented pack rat. After all, I still use my first-year uni notes as a coffee-table, you know.

wandered into Shattered Hearts and saw all the cute tiny little gifs, which led me to spending the last few days fooling around with those 88x31 banners. Of cos, in the end, only one is really 88x31. The other two are actually 90x33...
but received an email from a friend reminding me how close next month is, so i decided it's time to get to uploading. It's at brinkster so you'll understand its a little of a pain (tho' i do love the ad-less-ness of it) and in the end , i really did screw up so the pics had to be uploaded twice. That'll teach me to make graphic-heavy sites...

Korea's penalty shoot-out. Wow.
Anyway, semi-done htmlizing the Shin/Pretear pic, green text (more green...)
Should be adding in the content (or actually copying it from 2.0) but i wanna try something different with the content and I dunno what...hmmm...maybe plan for a costume-making section (if I'm gonna be Xelloss in Dec's Miyuki Cosplay) so I can record the process of creation. *pondering* but then i'll need another section for hobbies or special events (maybe just junk it under pics section???) ...

phew! a fun all-nighter screencapping kawaii Shin-chan from my Pretear vcds...actually meant to be Violet Haze 3.0 but I'm considering making it into a shrine pg instead, tho' i understand there's been some direct-linking pic problems in Pretear fandom...
heheh, even done the intro pg. The two columns of pics look a bit on the big and distracting side, but it all for Shin-chan! *fangirl giddiness* So I thought "what the heck"...he's one of the few anime characters who pull off the Look-What-a-Cute-Little-Kid-I-Am thing really well. There's a scene in Pretear where the Knights use him as bait cos he's so cuuuuute!!! And he's so cute and naive (cos i dun wanna call him dumb, but if the shoe fit...) and a bit of a crybaby....but in a really~ cute way! *falls over from too much cuteness and lack of sleep*
hmmm, didn't get to use my tiled bgs, but at least my pics are flat this time...oh yeah, forgot the home button...hmm...
....'kay, gotta sleep now *yaaaawn~*

looking over my horde of background tiles and tiny gif buttons and animations always makes me lust for a cutesy website with tiled bg and flower transparent gif buttons and puppy footprints line dividers...oooh and those small home buttons at the bottom of every page, heheh....but everytime i get near to doing one i get diverted to nested tables, rollover images, navigation made up of sliced pics and dark backgrounds...lack of focus? *gives a Yoda-"Hmmm..."*
visited Spotlight with my sis today, somehow we always get there half an hour before closing time, browse fifteen minutes then scoot. I think it's become a cherished pre-going-home ritual with us whenever we visit Tampines Central...it always re-ignites my inspiration to complete my Xelloss costume - staff, cloak and red-jewelled broach...
so now i'm torn between at least two (more like five stuff i'm inspired to do)...*sigh* now that's the vacation feeling...
Yay! After burrowing in and out of the code and publishing a dozen time (i mean that...) finally got the tables right....actually i oni put the text on the left and description on the right but that took me *checks clock* an hour and a half!.....tsk tsk...
preparing my biiiigggg calendar for next term all the way to March. I'm fairly certain i'll need all the scheduling i can get. If no timetable and is own research project sure will slack one...so lookin' for quotes for each month. Like "Smile, it makes people wonder what you are thinking."

...heheh...now the text tables...
HanaKimi 17's out! - Nakatsu finally made his move...but i dun think will be successful, seen too many of these...i was at a club meeting and my friend asked me which was my favourite part of this volume
Ade: The lemon part...
Rest of table: .......
Ade: ....oi, no lah, where Mizuki spills all those lemon slices on her bf's dad...
Rest of table: orrrr....
I'm trying to read Kareshi Kanojyo no Jijou now, "trying" being the operative word here...I know I want to read it but maybe it's the sentance structure or the sheer tranquility of scenes, I keep skipping/skimming ahead...or maybe cos i'm a Tsubasa/Kazuma and Sakura/Tonami(sp?) fan, heheh....HanaKimi goes by much faster ^_^

Finally fiddled around with the html until i managed to twist it into some sorta layout (Xellos and Filia!) though the pic quality's a bit crappy....
anyways made it into the honours programme *happy vibes* then i realised i gotta choke up a 12 000 word thesis. Was kinda expecting it but the figure kinda looms in your head, y'know (Suntec City = 12 000, Ant = me) Lots of the topics look interesting but i dunno if i'll be able to find enuff info for eveything. Plus i gotta learnt all those serious research methadologies *worrisome*
....happy thoughts...think happy thoughts....
our anime club's gonna have an anime chalet, probably some time in Sept (hmmm, isnt the graduation ceremony aroun then???) where we are gonna marathon anime, video games, etc. Eat breakfast at lunch, lunch at dinner time and dinner at 3 am, then drag our panda glued-shut eyes home because we've only had 3 hrs of sleep in three days....why were we doing this again?
ok, gonna reload now and see if my html skills are gonna make me pull out my hair....
