Honey and Clover 4
Kyaa! Go watch! Morita is just the right kind of lovable weird kook. Honey and Clover has mastered the art of the significant pause, giving layers to their characters without them saying a word. Hagu is just so cute! - she like a Chiyo-Osaka blend, complete with giant Riku head-buns that beats Princess Leia hands-down, lol.
Trinity Blood
Eh, was expecting Esther to have more spine. Not that murdering someone doesn't take that but she was obviously being manipulated. I suspect Dietrich could come back - what with vampires a bounding in this series. I think it was just a trap so the Duke could arrest her. Very pretty art - even the city that is meant to look dreary looks pretty. Go Abel! More gravity-defying hair!

Ack! Getting boring - the only fun part was when Atobe finally mastered Borg mentality.
Damn, I feel brain-dead just half way into the day - literally in screen-saver mode the rest of the day and on the way home.
I think too much of my identity is tied up with my work - the rest of the identities aren't much to talk about. It makes me over-react (like pile lots of pressure on myself) or hangs a lot of my self-worth on how well I do the tiniest things in my job. Sure route to Nutville, that one. Watched Identity, staring John Cusack last night - damn I like those movies with schizophrenia.
Streams on Cobblestones
The meandering road of a slightly introverted mind. Normally witty. At turns morbid and cheerful. A little weird. Have fun.

Spent the past week feeling most cold-hearted due to maintanence of regular levels of impassivity in what most would call a time of difficulty. Identity adjustments have been made accordingly which do not sit well at all. But no worries, have been supressing ugly symptoms with liberal dosages of ficcies. Thus, was drawn to watch A Beautiful Mind and was pleasantly surprised to learn something from it - that even the hardest and saddest thing can be funny - after time has done its work - like when an elderly Nash gets hold of a random giggly student to check if the Nobel rep is "really there".
In other news, our washing machine couldn't have chosen a better time to break down - resulting in the hugest pile of dirty laundry I have evah seen. They delivered a new one this afternoon and have been entertaining self watching the clothes go round and round.
If you have both time and inclination, check out the cover of Candice Hern's A Scandalous Affair - dead ringer for Paris and Helen's Troy poster, I tell ya'.

Kingdom of Heaven is full of yummy guys. Jeremy Irons is one, and Happy!Snape and Neeson is Qui-Gon Jinn all over again. Am quite in love with the guy who can project such personality wearing a metal mask and taking it off. Really liked the mirror scene. To me it implied that Sibylla was at that moment considering/bearing the burdens of kingship. Or could be that in that moment her heart was most like her brother - to protect the people - and that's why when we next see her she is tending wounded. Unfortunately Bloom, while generally acting well, just couldn't make a few crucial moments really ring with conviction - they are pretty obvious. Script's good too. Did anyone notice that the thieving priest in the beginning is also Lucien from the movie Underworld? Like the ending though - kind sweet! Not anti-climatic like some have reviewed wat~
The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy! - love the ad! Gonna go read the book again before watching, heheh....
Recently found this interesting (and cheap) book at the Big Bookshop at Clementi, called Colour in Nature. It's all about how colours occur in nature - its got nice close-up photos of just about all natural stuff, scientific explanation and just gives one all sorts of ideas about going on a sabbatical all over the world with nothing but a camera, memory card and batteries.
Dreamt of some relatives and being in a residential area that I've never been but knew. I wonder if my mind is just making up all these memories in my dreams. Can I have a POV while dreaming that is hallucinating?

Another day off work with not two brain cells left. I'm so tired I can't read a two-line definition for the life of me....and next week promises to be worse, wah. Read in DARE (yes, I read it! - a whole new different feel from the other mag's I've read, though FiRST is my fav) that May is a month I ought to slooooow down. Am certainly trying but... *sigh*

Gee, never imagined Matthew McConaughey (or Dirk Pitt for that matter) to be quite so...bulky. Darkie toothpaste smile and wind-blown (*koff*receding*koff*) hair. He's got the intense part down but he seems a little (at the risk of sounding like those pompus docs criticizing Patch Adams) too happy, too upbeat? Love the opening sequence. Always thought of Al as a barrel-chested guy (and Sandecker the same version therefore but taller) with tight black curls but Zahn is so funny! - reminds me muchly of how Zell Dincht might be in FF8. And that slimy French guy from the Matrix!
| Your Birthdate: April 12 |
Being born on the 12th day of the month (3 energy) is likely to add a good bit of vitality to your life. The energy of 3 allows you bounce back rapidly from setbacks, physical or mental. There is a restlessness in your nature, but you seem to be able to portray an easygoing, sometimes "couldn't care less" attitude. You have a natural ability to express yourself in public, and you always make a very good impression. Good with words, you excel in writing, speaking, and possibly singing. You are energetic and always a good conversationalist. You have a keen imagination, but you tend to scatter your energies and become involved with too may superficial matters. Your mind is practical and rational despite this tendency to jump about. You are affectionate and loving - but very sensitive. You are subject to rapid ups and downs. |
