Streams on Cobblestones

The meandering road of a slightly introverted mind. Normally witty. At turns morbid and cheerful. A little weird. Have fun.

Took a bit of time to recover from the week-long event and learn some valuable lessons - like always always have spare manpower, arrow like Legolas, heels are a bitch and always have spare manpower. All in all, had quite a high fun time. Made my skin a good deal thicker and my voice louder....taking things easy for a while.

Bleach
- Did you see that?! *points trembling finger* Hitsugaya's profile in the ending theme is ...is...*sighs and faints*
- Matsumoto and Gin as kids are such cuties!
- Kyouraku is teh funny! Loved the part when Nanao dumps the entire load of sakura petals and tops it off by braining him with the basket, lol.

Naruto
- hmm, their fillers are proving almost as promising as CCS's
- Wow, Neji looks v. v. good!

Kyou Kara Maou
- ok, this is old news....but Conrad's back! Woohoo!
- Yuu-chan laughing just reduces me to a pile of wobbly mush...as if that cute cute dress hasn't already done the job...Shibuya fufu are just so cute!

Honey and Clover
- fast becoming one of my fav animes...the characterisations are just so subtle and the colour are really pretty. Morita is such a kook.

Initial D
- how the hell did Anthony Wong get to be more cool than Ryousuke or Takeshi?! Could it be the mad racer image? The drunk pining for his wife image? His eyelashes?! (He's almost like Xellos/Gin the way he keeps them closed all the time...)
- a whole lotta tiresome screeching (geddit geddit? lol) and eye candy. Strangely, it was marginally more exciting the second time I watched it. The first time, by the time it got to the final race, I was slumped in my seat, bored bored bored. Guess I am not a car person.
- somehow got the feeling that the movie is a lot more excting than the manga or anime...I mean...Cars! Racing! Big black car crashing on road!
- you know how those American racing movies always have these babes to draw male audiences? Seems like things are opposite for this movie.

In real life, am plunging back into expanding my collection of old family photos-scans. Whereforth comes this mad yearning to discover my roots? I'm not a plant!

Eager beaver run-about - a week of slimming camp, lol.

Past few days with this week-long programme I am handling has been mind-bloggling, side-splittingly funny and really got my blood pumping. I'm quite fascinated with how the different parts of any event/s draws together - got to see it from different perspectives - guests, workshop facilitators, tech crew and organisers. The kids working on this project have all been mature, having really deep thoughts and tonnes more common sense than I did when I was 18.

Some really memorable things that happened -
1) When a poor councillor welcomed a total stranger down from a cab to go to his writing workshop - kenna xianhai by a T, lol.
2) Switching rooms when a workshop facilitator suddenly need to do a powerpoint presentation. Quite satisfying when you manage to juggle 8 concurrent workshops with their own tech req and pulling it off without too much delay.
3) Numerous close shaves - fire alarm on the day of the event (lol, now that it is over and a surprising turn of events led a happy ending), books delivery, guests checking in, tripping and almost falling flat on your face in front of a hall-full of dining students (granted they were probably more interested in eating...)
4) This really cool synchronised water-bottle thumping the participants do during dinner - kinda like STOMP.

I kinda like being indunated with phone calls and somehow having the support to zip to various venues to get the things done. It's nice being in the thick of things and seeing how decisions get made one day and get placed into effect the next - getting the right people together, inputing their various perspectives to make a suggestion work. It's cool - I kinda want to do it again. I must be crazy.

Swiped from May-Ann's blog - reminds me of those psycho/self-analysis quizzes:

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven... the next moment hell.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.

Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage something you've always wanted... though you haven't really thought about it.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.
