Streams on Cobblestones

The meandering road of a slightly introverted mind. Normally witty. At turns morbid and cheerful. A little weird. Have fun.

Droolicious bench-crafted journals at Eastgate.com - http://www.eastgate.com/catalog/Journals.html - am especially seduced by the purple faery one, but the forest and pond ones (dragonflies!) look great as well! The Celtic one is nice, but could benefit from a bit of colour.

Note to self: Do not attempt separating air freshners bits in your bedroom no matter how SPARKLY!!! and PRETTILY COLOURED!!! they are because the smells will haunt your bedroom like living entities, giving you headaches and nausea and making you contemplate sleeping on the living room couch for the next fortnight.

Have done the cloth covered cube thing - need to brush up on my engineering as it slow-dances left and right on a good day. Took a few shots but am eager to try more tomorrow morning when the light is better...

...and yes! I am finally getting my lens tomorrow. Dunno if it is worth it but I sure hope to find out!

Phew! So the Arts Fest is finally over - long and tiring as the hours were, it was fun overall, cos I got a peek into all these workshops and screenings. And was allowed to run wild with my camera, so I'm happy ^_^ The post-mortem is up next week but the report is done, and fees banked in. Am quite happy with the synergy of working with my new team - everything is easier cos we help each other out. So now I'm onto the upcoming project/s on my list which are quite exciting (because I get to do a little research and contribute ideas) and scary (cos I've never done them before and have not the background) or soothing (because I have done them before and am raring to make the planning/implementation more compact).

Am looking rather forlornly for a close-up lens for my camera...the lack of stock in the stores means I'll probably have to order it specially *sigh*. . . . I was so depressed I succumbed to enlarging my sake cup/bowl collection by four, lol.

Basic Information Before Leaving Earth indeed! *laugh* Overall a very enriching session and I look forward to tomorrow's.

Clearing leave so I get to go to work later for the next several weeks. Was at Clementi Central this afternoon and was utterly fascinated by the colours and textures of some aromatic 'volcanic rock' sold at a road-side stall. I suspect it is perlite but haven't gotten a visual confirmation. Very light, comes in little chips like cork but brightly coloured and very pretty, especially the purple and red shades. I think the eager saleperson was quite nonplussed when I told him I was actually choosing based on the colours then the smell. Look forward to getting a nice set of clear cups or bowls and start snapping. Am scheming to make myself a lightcube or whatchamacallit. Dunno if it is the making of it that has me excited or actually using it to take pictures.

Have finally caught up with Fushigi Yuugi - Genbu Gaiden. Hmmm, this set of seishi are quite the odd bunch! Though this miko seems to have her head screwed on more firmly than Miaka and Yui...strangely, I find it not as entertaining as the first FY - eh, hope it is not becos I find the soap operas more absorbing, hah.

Love Monster 10- I kneeeeewit! Mr Huang is the Huoqilin! Although never figured Suzaku for a Julie. And the trial of Kouro, heehee...
