And in yet more belated news:
Will finally be going on a vacation overseas with sis and friend in Jan-Feb next year! Looking forward to days and days by the ocean in Phuket. By the time I come back, will probably be very toasty...I think it bespeaks the terminal stage of my control freakism that I fairly pounced on the budget, itinerary and map with a sadistic intent to squeeze every baht till it squeaks...
Dat didn't come out right...
Have also realised the thing about my photos - I keep saying they aren't good. Though there are some which I personally take pride in, but it quite clear to me that my composition skillz and understanding about a camera need brushing up like a century-old fur coat - I don't think I have the time nor inclination to work on the stuff this hobby needs me to. There's nothing I hate more than to work on something that I know I will never get better at. So where's the satisfaction from every trip to the park, or from a full memory card?
Thanks to a colleague who asked for my pictures to make gift tags for a staff tea, I've realised that
(i) besides the great revelation of a higher power everytime I peer into the camera's LCD screen to look at a flower or spider's web
- the value I derive from my images is also
(ii) that I enjoy fiddling around in Photoshop
(iii) the hope that by giving them to someone (under the appropriate social situations) the photo could make them feel special
Ooookay, 1.15 am - better turn in if I dun wanna be a zombie tomorrow...
Streams on Cobblestones
The meandering road of a slightly introverted mind. Normally witty. At turns morbid and cheerful. A little weird. Have fun.

So, in other belated news:
How? I am incurable non-gamer (not anti-gamer, just non-gamer)….how do I know it? I was at the Asian championship of the World Cyber Games at Suntec. I was there mainly to do some background research for work – but I never realized till I got home that I was so busy snapping pictures and hunting down brochures, that I didn’t even think of playing at one of the many many colourful game stations they had set up! It could have been because I was slugging around my new cheep-cheep tripod (^_^), but still…
Jams jams everywhere – human flood at Citilink, snakey queues at Ikea and giant anthill at the Expo NLB booksale. Though I got to pick up this really nice volume on Celtic artworks, web architecture and affective computing (like HCI). Wanna go see if the newest Computer Arts is out – I like to look at the colourful pictures but feel like such a poser doing so….
Realise I’m making more impulse purchases related to colour – bought a metre of this ribbon which is the exact shade of purple I can stare at for hours, a scrape bolt of reddish-orange organza which looks gorgeous when lying in careless folds.
| You Are From Neptune |
You are dreamy and mystical, with a natural psychic ability. You love music, poetry, dance, and (most of all) the open sea. Your soul is filled with possibilities, and your heart overflows with compassion. You can be in a room full of friendly people and feel all alone. If you don't get carried away with one idea, your spiritual nature will see you through anything. |
Figured it'd have to be a hot guy to drag me back into blogging...
Ye olde spoilers!!!!
Soooo, the new double oh seven....is very very very nice in a tux, and sexy in a stern way, or stern in a sexy way. Either way, it works. Though he can't do the burning look, which is strange to me, because his eyes are very vivid indeed. Maybe it is the rest of the features, I dunno. Yes, he does look more of a vet than a new double-O, but that just emphasises how much younger and carefree he becomes when he decides to resign and travel the world with Miz Lynd. I may need to revise my opinion on the shoulders having gotten a closer look at the overall proportions but defintely the arms!
Chemistry-wise, I think he has it with Eva - my fav has to be the shower scene in all its tenderness and poigancy about the cold/hot water. Sweats an awful much though - gotta love how he just jumps back into the fray after a near-fatal poisoning.
Overall, the plot was just long enough (the gambling took forever!!!) to give the audience time to pull back and wonder, which is not a good thing in my book. Beautiful scenery, only outshone by another website I recently saw about the very Miyazaki buildings in Germany - so. What happened to the CIA guy or did I miss something? A little too much romance (but top quality romance, might I say...) and not enough linking-action for me. Darker too I think, more so than even Die Another Day - at least enough to leave the guys in the audience cringing in their seats. Less on the naughty jokes, though I am sure 007 had to grow into that habit so it makes sense...I would have to say I like the camera angles best...
