Trying to run a seminar while having cramps - NOT fun...on top of that feeling tired and body out of wack as is usual for that time of the month...sigh
Streams on Cobblestones
The meandering road of a slightly introverted mind. Normally witty. At turns morbid and cheerful. A little weird. Have fun.

Shannaro! Barbossa - my all time fav villan!!! Definitely taking on a funnier role in this installment- he and Keira Knightley stole the show! - though certainly Jack, all of hims, including the monkey version, gave it a damn good shot too! (You could write a thesis on the mind-boggling psyche of The Jack) Felt in the end that somehow they couldn't take the the LoTR from Orlando Bloom, though they took him out of LoTR. Too many holes left (to be filled by the many talented fic-writers), but the movie felt ended to me. Felt keenly too Jack and Barbossa's differing oratory styles. Noticed Orlando Bloom was never put much in the place of a captain or leader, for frequently shooting himself in the foot when he tried to be scheming, but yet ended up immortal captain of one of the most powerful ships. Things just seem to come full circle - with a different set of characters in old roles - just seems sad to me - Jack and Barbossa in their funny cat and mouse game, Will and Elizabeth the eternal lovers. Norrington quite tragic too - suddenly the mood just became darker. I left feeling like the story had so much more to develop, it could easily have enough material for another two movies - rarely do I feel like that.
